Awkward and Awesome Saturday

Yes, I've stolen this idea from Amy.  I originally planned this blog for Thursday, but it didn't happen.  Saturday works better for me anyway.  So here goes!

Awkward
  •  The word Awkward - I mean really isn't that the weirdest looking word?
  • How much it bugs me when people use the indoor track at the rec center for things other than running or walking.
  • Trying to get 26 teenagers to focus and do 3 performances in one day.

  • 6 AM Madrigal Rehearsals.  Yes, we're ALL tired.  Yes, we STILL need to rehearse.  Why do they think that they are more tired than I am?  I'm the oldest one there?
  • How involved I get in my job and how much I forget the rest of the world, including things that are way more important.
  • People who drive below the speed limit in the left lane during rush hour.  Somehow I get stuck behind them with everyone else zooming around us so I can't get out from behind them.  They don't turn left at the light, they just stay there.  Aaargh!

Awesome

  •  Crazy For You our high school musical. It was amazing!  Everyone put in so much time and effort and it was great!  What a good learning and growing experience for all of us.
  • When 26 teenagers show up at 6 am and actually work hard and learn their choreography!!  Wahoo!
  • I went running yesterday!  That's 2 times this week!  Which is a big increase from what I did while we were working on the Musical.  That was more like 1 run in 2 weeks.  But I did go when I could.
  • Sunshine!  It is so great to leave school BEFORE the sun sets in the evening.  That's kind of hard during this time of year.
  • How much I love my job and the people I work with (Students and Teachers)
  • It only takes 15 minutes to get to work at 5:30 am, it takes 25 to 30 minutes to get to work at 6:30am and it takes 30 to 35 minutes at 5:30 pm.
  • How much fun it is to watch my children grow up and become incredible people.  I'm proud of each one of you!  Spouses too! ('cause you're my children now too.)
  • I get to go to lunch with Mark and Stephanie today!
  • Saturday mornings when I don't have to be anywhere early!

  1. Great post! Glad to hear you're still alive!

Great job on getting runs in even when you're busy. 1 run is better than no runs!
